The South East and London were the worst hit areas with turnover rates of 35and 33 per cent respectively. “The particularly high turnover rates in London and the South East arepartly due to the ease with which teachers can commute to a number of LEAs andother employers within a relatively compact geographical area,” explaineda spokesperson for the National Employers Organisation for School Teachers.
