Former Southampton boss Harry Redknapp is surprised how well the club has done after losing their manager and a number of top players in the summer.Mauricio Pochettino quit the Saints for Tottenham, while Luke Shaw joined Manchester United and Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert joined Liverpool. But Ronald Koeman has come in and, after signing a number of new faces at St Mary’s, he has the south coast club up to second in the Premier League table, much to Redknapp’s surprise.“I’ve been very surprised at how well they’ve done, it’s been amazing,” he said.“They keep producing good players there, they’ve got this conveyor belt of kids coming through.“They’ve bought well. He’s got a couple of good players from Holland that he knew and they’re a powerful outfit again. They play some great stuff with confidence.“They had another excellent performance against Arsenal the other night. I’m sure Ronald knows it’s a long season – we’re only five games in but at the moment they’re looking the real deal.” 1 New Southampton manager Ronald Koeman
