He will be holding a contest to rename the restaurant. If someone has a new name they think will work, they are urged to come in and place it in the box. Every entry is worth a free root beer float. The name will be revealed on March 3.The Wellington A&W was one of the last stand alone restaurants left on 1617 North A that was owned by Vivian McCaulley. The restaurant was closed for several months before the Bhakta family took ownership and re-opened in the summer of 2012.The restaurant was closed this week for remodeling but opened today.•••••Sears makes move…Sears now located in downtown Wellington.Wellington Sears is now open in downtown in the former Tibbs Furniture Store. The company made its move early this week.Sears has been located at the U.S. 160 location, just south of Penny’s Diner and part of the Warner Video Strip Mall for years. That large structure will be razed for a new Oak Tree Inn which will be built sometime this year. The Sears, will be using the south building, of what was a two-building complex when Tibbs was in operation.
