Aqueous is, simply, an impressively tight young band. They have honed their craft both in the studio and in the live setting, delivering a high level of musicianship and attention to detail that sets them apart from many of their peers. This honing of their craft is obvious in their new, in-studio video, released last week on JamBase. The band invited a professional film crew into the studio to capture them playing the high-octane song, multi-sectional masterpiece “Origami”.The band showcases a ton of energy, with guitarist Mike Gantzer leading the charge, delivering a ton of tasty guitar licks throughout the song. Dave Loss holds down rhythm guitar, linking up with Gantzer for an awesome harmonized, dual-guitar effect. Evan McPhaden is rock-solid on the bass, directing the ship as Gantzer and Loss wail away, while drummer Rob Houk gives a master class in tightness during the eleven minute performance.Take a look at the awesomeness of Aqueous for yourself, with the “Origami” video embedded below for your viewing pleasure. There’s no better time than now to catch Aqueous live in action. Check them out with Mungion on 12/28 for a post-Phish after-show. Tickets available here. See below for their full fall tour schedule.
