He collapsed during a workout last week.Maryland offensive lineman Jordan McNair, a former four-star recruit, has been hospitalized after collapsing during an organized team workout. The redshirt freshman is in critical condition.Head coach D.J. Durkin released the following statement:“Jordan’s an outstanding young man and a beloved member of our Maryland football family,” Durkin said. “Our entire program is supporting Jordan and his family during this time. We’re continuing to keep Jordan in our thoughts and prayers.”The Terrapins did not divulge much more information, saying it will come out at the appropriate time.“More information will be shared at an appropriate time, and in accordance with the wishes of the family. Our thoughts are with the McNair family,” the team’s statement said.McNair is an Owings Mills, Md. native. He was a member of the 2017 class.The 6-foot-5 offensive tackle was ranked the No. 29 offensive tackle in the country coming out of high school. He had scholarship offers from several major programs.Our thoughts are with McNair and his friends and family.
